A Design Inspired by Yamantaka

The Yamantaka design takes visual inspiration from Tibetan art and belief, transforming the boxing glove into a canvas for powerful artistic expression.

Strong brushstrokes run across the gloves, reflecting the intensity and commanding presence associated with Yamantaka. Gold leaf is applied across the upper surface as part of the original artwork, adding texture and depth to the design.

Unlike a conventional printed finish, the gold leaf is intended to change over time. With training and regular handling, parts of the gold gradually wear away, leaving behind an aged effect that gives each pair its own evolving character.

Rather than remaining visually unchanged, the gloves develop with use, making the changing finish part of the Yamantaka concept.

A Presentation Inspired by the Torii Gate

The Yamantaka story extends beyond the gloves themselves.

The special wooden presentation box takes inspiration from the shape of a traditional Japanese Torii gate, a symbolic gateway associated with the transition from the everyday world into sacred space.

This architectural reference gives the packaging a strong visual identity while extending the cultural and artistic direction of the Yamantaka design beyond the gloves.
